In recent years, we have worked intensively to tackle the problem of blocked and destroyed packing in biological desulphurisation plants. In cooperation with operators, we have developed the optimum packing for these plants in many field tests.

Through improved surfaces, shorter edges and optimised openings, we have greatly improved the elemental sulphur flushing process during ongoing plant operation.

The result is a much longer service life due to significantly reduced adhesion of the elemental sulphur that forms on the packing over time.

This means more effective gas flow, lower pressure drop and a consistently large surface area for the bacteria that remove the H2S from biogas, sewage gas and landfill gas.
